We are excited to offer a hands-on class where children can actively explore different concepts. In our STEAM LEGO program, students will use LEGO to learn about science, technology, engineering, art, and math. They will construct models and discover how individual pieces come together to create unique structures. In the first weeks, students will be introduced to the pieces used in class by building themselves out of LEGO to get to know one another. They will start with simpler animal models such as the LEGO Cat and LEGO Elephant before progressing to more unusual builds like the LEGO Giraffe, LEGO Octopus, LEGO Jellyfish and LEGOSnail. Next, kids will have fun constructing delectable treats with the LEGO Apple, LEGO Pineapple and LEGO Ice Cream builds. Finally, children will enjoy the thrill of the Lego Volcano build. These lessons will help students pay closer attention to small details while improving their spatial reasoning and fine motor skills. By the end of the program, we hope students gain confidence in following instructions to engineer imaginative LEGO creations across many themes, all while learning core STEAM principles.

This class is designed for the student eager to build and explore. Our class will introduce your child to building from imagination or from our kits. 

We have sets that help a student build a racing car, plane, helicopter and even a functioning motorcycle with a moving piston and gears.

This class is great for children of all ages who love to make things with their hands. The X Kids will help foster a child’s curiosity and love for learning well beyond the classroom.

Chess is an amazing game that can be played at almost any age. 

Chess is a great metaphor for life. A student learns patience, critical thinking skills and sportsmanship. Children who play chess tend to do better in areas such as math. 

We teach students how the pieces move as well as the point value of each piece. We explain how to castle, how to get check and of course how to get checkmate. 

Children new to chess will start playing “pawn wars” where we only play with pawns. Once they feel more comfortable we add knights, bishops and eventually all the pieces. 

After our class children will become more comfortable and confident to play chess with anyone.

In the JAMaROO Kids Music & Movement classes, we’ll sing traditional songs and learn original ones too. Each month we’ll focus on a different seasonal theme that incorporates the use of puppets, books, and other props to maximize the educational experience and focus on cognitive development. Movement activities will help build gross motor skills allowing children to work on strength, balance and coordination. Throughout the year, children will be exposed to a variety of simple instruments including tambourines, cymbals, maracas, triangles, bells, rain sticks, and different types of drums helping to strengthen fine motor skills. In all of our JAMaROO Kids classes, children are introduced to different genres of music from around the world and are encouraged to use their imagination, problem solving skills, creative thinking and listening skills.

It comes in various colors and can be easily mixed by blending basic colors in proportion, making it easy to work with. The creations made with clay do not require baking; they naturally air dry without cracking. Engaging in air clay art can fully exercise children's hands-on abilities and significantly enhance their fine motor skills. Playing with clay involves a series of actions such as kneading, pinching, pressing, joining, pressing, carving, sticking, and pasting, which utilize all the strength in their hands. This is particularly beneficial for promoting the development of children's hand muscles and creativity!

We use portable equipment to give your child an introduction to the fundamentals of gymnastics. Skills are always taught in a fun and encouraging environment.

This class will culminate in an Funtastic Gymnastics Exhibition on the last day of class. Students will learn how to drum with their hands as well as sticks. Squawk! Squawk! Is that dinosaur? No, it’s a bird a descendent of the dinosaurs! People think dinosaurs are like modern day reptiles, but modern research has found feathered dinosaurs and that they were warm blooded! These exciting findings will enthrall students in our new program that will look at evolutionary biology! Students will learn about fossils and how paleontologists find these new discoveries by making plaster fossils, and learn about the anatomy Students will explore biological design by making model T-Rex thigh bones and see how it compares to a chicken (*wink wink* they’ll find that chickens and T-Rex are

directly related) Students will make dioramas and delve into their favorite dino’s habitat to scrutinize how environment plays a role in evolution Students will leave the program knowing what happened to the dinosaurs and how evolutionary biology works. They’ll do this by working with plaster, making dioramas, and fun hands-on art projects and experiments!

Playball is a sports & movement program which was developed by sports psychologists, occupational therapists & teachers.  The Playball classes follow a very detailed curriculum which centers on the whole child (social, emotional, physical).  The classes incorporate important life skills such as sharing, leadership, independence, kindness, teamwork and more using sports & movement as a means to teach.  The kids will learn the basic sport skills such as bouncing, throwing, dribbling, catching, hitting utilized in tennis, hockey, baseball, basketball, volleyball & soccer.  All of the Playball classes are high energy and use creative imagery so that the kids have lots of fun!

In the JAMaROO Kids Music & Movement classes, we’ll sing traditional songs and learn original ones too. Each month we’ll focus on a different seasonal theme that incorporates the use of puppets, books, and other props to maximize the educational experience and focus on cognitive development. Movement activities will help build gross motor skills allowing children to work on strength, balance and coordination. Throughout the year, children will be exposed to a variety of simple instruments including tambourines, cymbals, maracas, triangles, bells, rain sticks, and different types of drums helping to strengthen fine motor skills. In all of our JAMaROO Kids classes, children are introduced to different genres of music from around the world and are encouraged to use their imagination, problem solving skills, creative thinking and listening skills.

Hello everyone, want to join us for a fun, fabulous, uplifting, and magical music enlightenment experience? 

Space M is excited to partner with Presidio Knolls School. Space M's team contains enthusiastic teachers. The enlightenment teacher has more than 8 years of professional learning and training and is able to play various music instruments. The program will contain different themes, fun music games, learn basic music theory and understand the beauty of music through various instruments. By utilizing the famous Carl Orff music innovation education and under the help of experienced instructors, kids give their brain a complete workout through music appreciation, dancing, vocal, rhythm, gaming and various instructions.

Join Mr. Bongo of Duniya Dance and Drumming as we learn about the dances and music of West Africa!

Students will learn how to drum with their hands as well as sticks. Mr. Bongo will explore the movements of West African traditional and popular music, as well as teach students about his culture from Guinea. Classes include activities for students to refine their motor skills and also express themselves creatively, with additional focus on community building and respect. Bongo is an experienced music educator in schools all over San Francisco and with organizations such as the SF Ballet, LEAP, SF Arts Education and the Asawa SF School of the Arts.

In the JAMaROO Kids Yoga classes, children go on a yoga adventure using their imaginations to help navigate through yoga poses.  Our destinations include hiking through the Alps, diving in the Great Barrier Reef, going on a safari in Africa or sledding in the North Pole. Along our journey we'll play yoga games, sing yoga songs and practice breathing techniques. These adventures expose children to world cultures, geography, and a diversity of music. In all of our JAMaROO Kids classes, children are introduced to different genres of music from around the world and are encouraged to use their imagination, problem solving skills, creative thinking and listening skills.
