General Camp Information

Session #1: June 21-July 9 No camp July 5th (3 weeks)

Session #2A: July 12-30 (3 weeks)

Session #2B: July 12-August 6 (4 weeks)

Session #2C: July 12-August 13 (5 weeks)

 

 

PKS is excited to host another fun-filled summer of camps! We are currently only planning to offer on campus camps for a minimum of three week sessions as listed above. Please note that we will follow all COVID-19 protocols for camps and will update families as we have guidance from the city. We anticipate that it will remain similar to last summer and this current school year with wearing masks, social distancing, and creating stable cohorts for each session. We will try to place students who will attend all sessions together when possible. Please let us know if you would like all of your children to be placed into the same cohort if they are from different divisions. We are excited to offer a full summer discounted price this year for your continued commitment to PKS Summer Camps! Summer camp should be registered for the 2021-2022 grade level not your child's current grade/class.

 

Session #1: $1,500

Session #2: $1,590 (3 weeks)

Session #2: $2,120 (4 weeks)

Session #2 $2,650 (5 weeks)

Full Summer:$3,925 (Session #1-3, 8 weeks total)
Registration fee: $50 per camper non refundable
Early Care: $100-$150 per session
Extended Care: $300-$450 per session

 

General Camp Information
* Camps must be attended for all weeks in each session. No refunds for days not attended.
* All camps are led in Mandarin by PKS teachers.
* Register for camp level based on 2021-2022 school year grade level. 
*
* PKS will provide milk during snacks and lunch. Students must bring healthy lunches and snacks or order from school foodies.
* Students spend as much time outside as possible and frequently have circle times and activity times in the outdoor spaces at PKS.
* Students should be dressed comfortably and in layers according to the weather. Rain boots can be kept in the classroom for the entire camp session.
* Students need an extra set of clothing, diapers/pull ups if required, sunscreen (students will self apply as much as possible), sun hat, and water bottle. Please label all items.

Registration Information

* Registration opens 2/8/2021 10:00am

* Registration fee $50.00 (applicable to all students enrolling in summer camps)

* Registration is available on a first come basis. Waitlists will be created as needed and students will be entered into the class in the order they appear on the waitlist.

Withdrawal Deadlines

* March 30, 20201 by 5:00 pm is the last day to submit a written withdraw from camp for a refund. 

* Please note that if you enroll after the withdrawal deadline there will be no refunds for camp withdrawal.

Covid-19 Procedures PKS will follow all guidelines established for Camps during the summer of 2021. All guidelines and procedures will be communicated to families prior to the beginning of camp. We anticipate that the guidelines will be similar to the school year. Please note the following is a highlight of the key guidelines and the full campus plan is available at our entrance locations.

* PKS will be practicing social distancing protocols during camp.

* All students and adults will wear face coverings/masks at all times while on campus except during meal times.* Stable cohorts for each 3 week+ session.

* Meals and snack eaten outside only. Teachers and adults will not eat with students.

* Students must bring all meals and snacks from home or order via school foodies

.* Classroom doors open with fans on during the entire camp day.

* Covid-19 testing as recommended and/or required by SFDPH at the time of camp.

* COVID-19 waiver will be need to be signed prior to the student attending camp.

* Student must attend all the weeks of the camp session. Please contact the Auxiliary team for specific questions around attendance.

* Camp families must follow all COVID-19 guidelines for the city and state at the time of camp including quarantine policies prior to camp beginning.

P2 Summer Camp

Please register for P2 summer camp if your child is currently a P1 student or a new incoming P2 student for the upcoming school year.

Session #1: Color Exploration

  • Week 1: Messy Art Exploration
  • Week 2: Colors All Around
  • Week 3: Rainbow Extravaganza

Join all of your PKS friends on a color adventure! This session of camp will be all about color exploration. Campers will create messy art using a variety of medium best used outdoors and so much fun! The next week will be an exploration of colors and nature. PKS in the summer has a wide variety of colorful flora and fauna. The last week will be all about rainbows. Join us for a fun-filled 3 week camp adventure! Please note there is no camp on July 5, 2021 due to the observed Independence day.

Session #2: Science Exploration
  • Week 1: 3-2-1 Blast Off! (Space exploration)
  • Week 2: Pop-Fizz Science Experiments
  • Week 3: We love Polymers!
  • Week 4: Tinkering Fun
  • Week 5: Creations that move

 

Join all of your PKS friends on an adventure filled with science exploration! Campers will begin this session by going on a space exploration. 3-2-1 blast off will excite and ignite our preschoolers passion for learning about our solar system. Next we jump into the fun and magical exploration of science experiments that go pop and fizz. We can't wait to see all of the fun learning and connections that are created this week. For our final week in this session our students will explore the interesting properties of polymers. We hope you will join us for this 3 week session where we will use our eyes, hands, thoughts, and creativity to explore our world through science. Join your PKS friends as you explore tinkering and making creations that move. During this session of camp we will explore how to use recycled materials and build our own new inventions. Campers will investigate how to create new toys, games, and so much more! We can't wait to see all of the creativity for our last session of camp!
