General Summer Camp Information
Summer 2022
PKS offers K-8 Mandarin Immersion summer camp for students currently enrolled at PKS, as well as students across the Bay Area interested in an innovative, engaging, and dynamic summer learning experience. Preschool summer camp is restricted to PKS students only. Mandarin language skills are not required for rising kindergartners at our camps. Mandarin language skills are required for students in rising grades 1-8. Middle School students will have an opportunity to apply to become Junior Counselors. More details coming soon.

Summer 2022 Camp Partner: Moonshot Labs
PKS is excited to partner with Moonshot Labs Adventure Science Summer Camps to offer an English option this summer. Moonshot Labs introduces students to the fundamental sciences via the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Through hands-on experiments, students build a scientific mindset and tackle the world’s most pressing problems starting from Day 1. Moonshot Labs will offer camps for rising Kindergarten through rising Grade 5 students.
PKS will follow all health and safety guidelines once established for summer 2022. PKS will communicate guidelines and procedures prior to the start of camp.

PKS Mandarin Camp: M-F, 8:30am - 3:30pm, $595 5-day , $500 4-day
Moonshot Labs Adventure Science Camp: M-F, 8:30am - 3:30pm, $695 5-day, $600 4-day
Early Care: M-F, 8:00am - 8:30am, $50 5-day , $45 4-day, $15 per day drop-in rate
Extended Care: M-F, 3:30pm - 5:30pm, $150 5-day, $120 4-day, $35 per day drop-in rate
Registration Fee: $50 per student, one time fee per summer, not eligible for discount, non-refundable
Discounts: 5% off 3 or more weeks before April 30th, 7% off full summer (8 weeks) before March 1st
General Camp Information
- No refunds for days not attended.
- Register your student for the grade they will be attending for the 2022-2023 School Year.
- All Mandarin camps are led in Mandarin (approximately 80% of the day) by PKS teachers. All Moonshot Labs camps are led in English by Moonshot Labs teachers.
- Recesses, extended care, before care, and lunches maybe in English or Mandarin depending upon the camp and teachers.
- Students must bring healthy lunches and snacks or order from school foodies.
- PKS is a NUT free campus. Please also refrain from sending candy and sweets in lunches or snacks.
- Students spend as much time outside as possible and frequently have class meetings and activity times in the outdoor spaces at PKS.
- Students should be dressed comfortably and in layers according to the weather. Rain boots can be kept in the classroom for the entire camp session.
- Students need sunscreen (students will self apply), sun hat, water bottle, and an extra set of clothing if needed (K required). Please label all items.
- Refrain from students bringing extra items from home and all camp supplies needed for projects will be supplied by PKS.
- Students will be required to follow all health and safety requirements for SF at the time of camp including but not limited to face coverings, social distancing, hand hygiene, and other items as communicated prior to the first day of camp.
Registration Information
- Registration opens 1/18/2022 at 10:00am
- Registration fee $50.00 (applicable to all students enrolling in summer camps)
- Registration is available on a first come basis. Waitlists will be created as needed and students will be entered into the class in the order they appear on the waitlist.
Withdrawal Deadlines
- March 30, 2022 by 5:00 pm is the last day to submit a written withdraw from camp for a refund.
- Please note that if you enroll after the withdrawal deadline there will be no refunds for camp withdrawal.
Covid-19 Procedures
PKS will follow all guidelines established for Camps during the summer of 2022. All guidelines and procedures will be communicated to families prior to the beginning of camp.
